Norac Marine Interior Systems installed at new Patrol Frigate for the Royal Danish Navy

The company has delivered complete range of interior systems: fire-rated walls, ceiling systems, prefabricated wet units, doors and windows, including complete furniture package installation to the frigate Iver Huitfeldt – the first of three frigates being built at Odense Stålskibsværft in Denmark.

Norac is recognized as a "one-stop shop" for high-quality, affordable interior systems for the maritime industry, and the new generation patrol frigates, the Huitfeldt-class, are built on the experience gained from the Absalon-class command and support ships, and by using the design of the Absalon-class the Royal Danish Navy have been able to construct the Iver Huitfeldt class considerably cheaper than comparable ships. This proves that Norac can compete on quality as well as price.

"Her Majesty The Queen has resolved that the ship is to be called Iver Huitfeldt."
These were the words of HRH Crown Prince Frederik, when the ship was named. By naming the ship "Iver Huitfeldt" The Marine Force pays homage to the old hero of the 18th Century Great Northern War. The Norwegian born Commander Iver Huitfeldt of "Dannebroge" saved the entire Danish Fleet from destruction when the Swedes turned up quite unexpectedly in "Køge Bugt" where the Danish Fleet was situated in 1710.
