Norac Launches B-15 Certified Ventilation for Acoustic Doors

Following a recommendation from EMSA, Marine door manufacturers have been challenged to re-think the use of traditional Z-channels in fire doors.

Norac is pleased to introduce our new solution for ventilation in acoustic doors. The offset ventilation louvres in the lower half of the door blade are combining B15 fire rating with great acoustic performance and ventilation through the door leaf.

Norac’s N-MC Acoustic door with offset ventilation louvres in the lower half of the door blade is tested to a sound reduction of Rw=41 dB matching the acoustic performance of the traditional Z-Channel.

The ventilation capabilities remain unchanged.

The solution is B-15 certified and available for our N-MC, N-CD and N-CD-II door models.
